FAQ
Podcast questions, answered.
Do I need to bring my own guests?
Usually yes. We can help with guest outreach templates, scheduling logistics, and brief preparation, but sourcing your guest roster is typically on you. For some retainer clients we handle guest outreach as part of the package, discussed case by case.
How many episodes can we film in a single session?
It depends on length. A typical 4-hour half-day session comfortably records 2-3 x 45-minute episodes back to back. A full-day session can handle 4-6 episodes, or a multi-guest panel with proper prep time. Longer episodes or multi-guest panels reduce the count. For retainer clients, batched filming days usually produce 4 episodes in 2 days.
What's the difference between studio hire and a retainer?
Studio hire is filming only - you pay per session and choose your edit level afterwards. Retainers bundle filming, editing and (on Pro and Commercial) social clips, thumbnails and distribution into a monthly package. If you're producing 4+ episodes a month consistently, a retainer is meaningfully cheaper per episode than booking the equivalent ad-hoc. If you film occasionally or want full control over the edit, studio hire suits you better.
What do I need to prepare for the shoot?
A brief for the guest (topics, running order, what NOT to discuss), and a clear outcome: what are we making this for? Audience, platform, length, tone. The more we know up front, the less we waste on the day. Studio visits before booking are welcome.
Can you edit a podcast I've already recorded?
Yes. We do post-production-only packages on a case-by-case basis. Send us your raw files and we'll quote based on episode length, edit complexity, and any branding requirements.
Do you film on location, or only in-studio?
Primarily in-studio, where we can guarantee broadcast-grade audio and video quality. Location shoots are possible for the right project (and the right budget). We've filmed press conferences and interviews on location before.
Can I see the studio before booking?
Absolutely. Studio visits are welcome by appointment. Bring the person who'll be on camera with you if you can, so they see the space in advance.
